| Cherry Pecan Slices December 2007 |

1 cup butter softened 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla 2-1/4 cups flour mixed with generous dash of salt 2 cups candied cherries cut in half 1 cup pecan halves |

Cream butter until fluffy. Gradually add sugar. Beat well. Add egg and vanilla.
Stir in flour. Beat well. Stir in cherries and pecans. Cover air tight and chill 1 hour. Divide in 3 parts. Flour hands & surface. Roll dough into 12 inch rolls. You will have 3 rolls. Chill 3 hours or overnight. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
