Bran Muffin Jar Gift Mix

Bran Muffin Mix 

1 1/4 cup self-rising flour
1/2 cup white granulated or brown sugar
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 cup bran cereal

Use a 1 quart, wide-mouth canning jar. Pack each layer.
To the jar add the flour, the Pour in sugar, the raisins, 
and the cereal. Seal and decorate jar, and attach the 
recipe tag. 

Bran Muffins
You will need:
1/2 cup butter
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup milk or apple juice

Use a large bowl and add the contents of the jar.
Mix in the butter, egg and milk blend well. Place 
the batter in a well greased muffin pan, filling each 
cup 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 15-18 minutes.
Variation: For Pineapple Bran Muffins, adding an 8 ounce 
can crushed pineapple, drained to the batter.
