My favorite recipes are the
Amish Pear Pie and Amish Chicken
Noodle Soup. Some of the recipes do not have exact amounts but
come out well when using the instructions. Recipes without the
exact amount makes it easier to make a smaller amount or a larger
amount with ease.
Amish Pear Pie
3 T flour
fresh pears, enough to fill pan
1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar
milnot (milk) or cream
Mix together flour and sugar.
Slice pears and stir into flour mixture to coat. Pour mixture into bottom
crust. (unbaked pie crust) Pour milnot or cream over pears, enough to
cover pears. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the top. Bake at 350 for
35-40 minutes. Test by shaking pie, done when solid.
